Vintage Sheffield Silverplate over Copper Samovar Coffee Tea Urn with Burner and Tray 20 Inch

This is for a vintage Sheffield silver-plated over copper samovar beverage urn with a burner, matching lid, and round silver-plated tray.

The polished urn body is complemented by scrolling double handles, decorative paw feet, and a pedestal base. A serving spigot completes the traditional design, creating a beautiful presentation for a tea table, buffet, or dining room sideboard.

Standing approximately 20 inches tall, this substantial piece makes an impressive focal point. The smooth silver-plated body reflects the surrounding light, while the curved handles and detailed feet give the urn a graceful, decorative silhouette.

Measurements and Capacity

• Urn: approximately 20 inches tall × 10 inches wide × 8 inches deep.

• Capacity: approximately 104 fluid ounces.

• Round silver-plated tray: approximately 12 inches in diameter.

Included Pieces

The offering includes the beverage urn with its matching lid, burner, and a Rogers 12" round silver-plated tray. The tray provides a coordinating base for displaying the urn.

Traditionally used for hot water and beverage service, this style of urn brings a lovely sense of occasion to a table. It would also make a striking decorative display among vintage silver, porcelain tea services, or crystal.

This would make for a lovely floral centerpiece for fresh or artificial flowers on a hutch, side table or even a mantle.

Condition

***The urn is in nice vintage condition, as described. The finial on the lid has been repaired. The repair appears to have been made with silver-colored solder; the exact repair material has not been confirmed.

***The inside has worn down to the underlying copper as the interior most likely was not cleaned after use properly.

Please examine the photographs closely for the repaired finial, silver-plated surfaces, and overall condition. The spigot works and turns of and on without drips. There is age appropriate wear on this.

A distinctive vintage serving piece with a polished finish, scrolling handles, decorative paw feet, and the appealing proportions of a traditional samovar.
