Antique English Silverplate Butler Tray Victorian Footed Serving Tray 31.5 Inch

This is for a magnificent antique English silverplated butler's tray dating from the late 1890s to early 1900s. This impressive Victorian serving tray features beautifully cast floral ball feet, elaborate high-relief scrolling handles, and an ornately decorated ribbon-style border that showcases the exceptional craftsmanship of the period.

Its generous size makes it ideal for serving a complete tea or coffee service, displaying crystal decanters on a bar, or creating a dramatic centerpiece on a dining table, coffee table, or ottoman. The elegant Victorian styling also makes it a stunning decorative accent when displayed upright or layered with collectibles.

Although the maker's marks are no longer discernible, the tray retains several English stamps that support its origin and age. The heavy construction, decorative feet, and ornate repoussé border are characteristic of fine English silverplate from the turn of the twentieth century.

Condition: This tray is in better-than-expected antique condition for a piece over 100 years old. There are some water marks in the center from years of use, along with a few small areas on the ribbon edge where the underlying copper is visible, as shown in the photographs. These honest signs of age add to its authentic antique character and do not detract from its impressive display.

This beautiful heirloom tray has wonderful presence and is ready to be enjoyed for generations to come.
