Antique Wilcox Silver Plate Champagne Wine Cooler, Victorian Repousse Ice Bucket, Ornate Handled Barware

This is for a rare Antique Wilcox Quadruple Silver Plate Champagne Wine Cooler. This is a stunning piece of Victorian-era (Edwardian transition period) barware, featuring intricate floral repousse detailing on a round silver-plated wine chiller. The age is approx from the late 19th century to 1900 as Wilcox was in production from 1865 to 1898 before becoming part of International Silver. This has a beaded boarder, turned side handles and a flared rim with a repousse ban.

This heavily embossed wine chiller / jardiniere is not only a wonderful Champagne Bucket but would be a beautiful vase for flowers or to hold items like rolled towels.

The bucket measures: 9 inches tall with a width of 9.5 inches and a diameter of 7.5 inches. The makers name, Quadruple Plate, Wilcox Silverplate Co, Conn, and #777 are all on the base. This is is good condition especially with the age of the item. There is age appropriate wear on handles and one spot on side with small other noted areas on raised decorative pieces. The metal underneath (not copper) is thick and the piece is heavier than newer items thus helping to date it.

This heavy construction ice bucket is a vintage collectible with a unique style and design that is perfect for all occasions. With its original Victorian theme and quality craftsmanship from the Wilcox Silver brand, this champagne bucket is sure to add a touch of elegance to any kitchen or dining table.
