This is for an exquisite pair of large bookends made from fossilized ammonite and orthoceras, weighing a total of just over 11 lbs. The unique nautical sea theme adds a touch of elegance to any bookshelf or desk. The shape of the rock cuts are very unique and are cut to show off the specimens.

These have two sides, one with the rock / stone showing and the other with the fossils - orthoceras - ancient marine animals with a long straight conical shell. These small animals lived appros 400 -500 million years ago.

Originating from Morocco, these fossilized stone book holders are a collectible item perfect for those interested in rocks, fossils, and minerals. The intricate designs and sheer size of these bookends make them a striking statement piece for any book lover. One measures: 7 inches tall x 7 inches wide x 3.25 inches deep. One measures: 7 inches tall x 4.25 inches wide x 3.5 inches deep.

Majority of my items for sale are pre-loved treasures that were most likely purchased at a local Estate Sale or a local resale shop in Arizona. I may or may not know details but do spend time researching information to provide details the best I can and to pass along fair prices.

Assume items are preloved and or vintage and such can have its own idiosyncrasies due to age alone and normal wear and tear. Remember vintage items have been used and will have small issues like surface scratches and age appropriate wear. I will show any major issues in my pictures as they are part of the description.

*If an item is damaged in shipping you agree to hold onto the item, box and packing materials until the claim is processed and I will need you to take any necessary pictures to file with the carrier.

* I take great care in packaging items correctly and shipping on time.
