Vintage Art Deco Brass Fireplace Screen: Peacock Fan, Dragon Handle

This is for a wonderful Vintage Art Deco brass peacock fireplace screen. It looks lovely open and yet still very decorative when sitting closed. This lovely piece has an ornate design and is two sided with a woman mounted on both sides with a raised motif. It also is adorned with a Finial/handle in a dragon motif on the top for carrying it. This style of the Art Deco woman is usually seen on the very large fans making this an unusual design.

**This does have some bend to the fan pieces when closed not seen when open and there is a wire strengthening the inside blade at the handle, not seen unless looking for it, this is not an issue with function at all.

This folding screen can be closed and locked when not in use and or to store. The intricate detail of the filigree cut-out screen creates an amazing reflection and is very light catching.

The fireplace fan has an Art Deco, Neoclassical, Hollywood Regency feel to the design. The total height with the handle is 32 inches tall and the fan when open has a width of 48 inches. While the base is 4 inches deep.

This item is sure to please and will be loved for many years to come. This fan is lacquered which helps keeping it the same color vs tarnishing.
