Vintage Kirk Stieff Sterling Silver Candelabras Victorian Repousse

This is for a stunning pair of vintage S. Kirk & Sons sterling silver candle holders with matching Stieff slip-in arms designed to hold three dinner taper candles each. These elegant weighted sterling silver candelabras feature an ornate Victorian style repousse pattern with beautifully hand chased detailing throughout along with gracefully twisted arms for a timeless sophisticated presentation.
Crafted in the USA, the base candle holders alone measure approximately 3.5 inches tall by 4.25 inches in diameter. The removable candelabra arms extend the overall size to approximately 6.25 inches tall by 13 inches wide and 4.25 inches deep. Together the pair weighs approximately 930 grams and are weighted and reinforced.
The bases are marked with the maker’s name, Sterling, 118F and Hand Decorated on the foot of each piece along with monogrammed initials on the underside. The removable arms are marked with pattern number 58 and the date letter W which corresponds to 1955. Stieff was located in Baltimore, Maryland and traces its origins back to Samuel Kirk in 1815.
The sterling silver composition (.925) ensures lasting beauty and brilliance, making these wonderful statement pieces for formal dining, holiday entertaining or elegant home decor.
This pair of candle holders is in wonderful vintage condition, polished and ready to use and display for years to come. These surely will be enjoyed as decorative candlesticks or used with dinner taper candles in them.
