Georgian Sheffield Plate Champagne Bucket / Antique Silver Plated Wine Cooler / Antique c. 19th Champagne Bucket / Sheffield Plated Urn

This is for a Wonderful Antique English Georgian Sheffield Plate Wine oler. The Champagne Bucket measures: 9.5 inches tall x 11.5 inches wide with the handles x 9 inches diameter with an inside diameter of 5 inches.

The silver plate is over a copper base. There are some light markings on the bottom which are - X625/197 6433 and HY. The first marking could be a marking for what number the item was out of a lot of 625 crafted, but can not verify but have had others in past that were numbered.

The piece is from circa the mid 19th century which is seen in the way it is constructed via the base and how it is weighted. The wine chiller / champagne holder has an etched Family crest on one side and states, "NE OUBLIE" - which means "Never Forget" (Scottish Gaelic) and is often used on items that are meant to hand down to generations.

The base is decorated with a beautiful pattern of leaves to the rim and handle connections with acorns. There is a large decorated wreath going around the entire wine cooler that also is decorated with acorns and leaves.

There is small wearing of the silver plate on the crest and the base rims - not very obvious but seen when very up close, noted in pictures. The outside is esp in amazing condition with little to no wear noted on the inside. This was obviously loved and taken care of through out its use. Make sure to dry when done with use so that the piece stays beautiful for another 200 years! Appox date of creation is before 1860 per the way the silver was applied to the copper base.

The rim and the inside bucket are removable.

Remember vintage items have been used and will have small issues like surface scratches and age appropriate wear. I will show any major issues in my pictures as they are part of the description.

*If an item is damaged in shipping you agree to hold onto the item, box and packing materials until the claim is processed and I will need you to take any necessary pictures to file with the carrier.

* I take great care in packaging items correctly and shipping on time.
