Vintage Reed & Barton Silverplate Tea Coffee Service with FB Rogers Tray 6 Piece

This is for a beautiful vintage 6-piece silver-plated tea and coffee service by Reed & Barton, accompanied by a magnificent FB Rogers serving tray. The Reed & Barton pieces are all marked "MF'D Plated By Reed & Barton C.T." and Pattern No. 1950, showcasing elegant mid-century craftsmanship and timeless styling.

The coordinated service features beautiful grape and leaf finials, matching decorative accents at the handle joints, a classic beaded border around each rim, and substantial round pedestal feet. The warm-toned silver plate has the rich appearance often found on older Reed & Barton hollowware.

The included FB Rogers "Remembrance" Pattern No. 9898 serving tray provides a stunning presentation and beautifully complements the tea service.

The set includes:

1 Coffee Pot – 10¼ inches tall × 8½ inches wide × 5 inches deep
1 Tea Pot – 10 inches tall × 9 inches wide × 5 inches deep
1 Creamer – 8 inches tall × 5½ inches wide × 3½ inches deep
1 Covered Sugar Bowl – 9 inches tall × 7 inches wide × 4½ inches deep
1 Waste Bowl – 5½-inch diameter
1 FB Rogers "Remembrance" Serving Tray – 28½ inches wide × 17 inches deep × 1½ inches tall
Condition:

The silver plate is in wonderful vintage condition with no large areas of plate loss. The waste bowl has a few small interior pitting spots from age and use. Because this is an older silver-plated set, the metal has the softer composition typical of quality vintage hollowware, resulting in a few gentle waves that are part of the metal itself rather than dents. These are not easily visible in photographs and are consistent with the age of the set.

Considering this service is approximately 70 years old, it has been exceptionally well preserved and presents beautifully for entertaining or display.

This elegant Reed & Barton tea service makes a stunning centerpiece for a dining room, sideboard, or china cabinet and is perfect for collectors of fine American silverplate.
