Antique Round Cast Iron Heat Register Floor Grate / 1890's Cast Iron Round Floor Grate / Antique Beautiful Victorian Designed 2 Pc Grate Set

This is for a wonderful condition and beautiful Cast Iron Antique Victorian floor grate ( or perhaps a stove pipe register detachable cover). This grate has two pieces, the detachable center and the outer piece.

This grate is marked on the back - Designed Patented, June 29, 1897. The finish is almost a grey / brown and is in wonderful condition, perhaps refinished but unsure.

This item would be from the late 1890's and is substantial and weight is 5.4 lbs. The outside diameter is 15 1/2 inches. The inside rim is 13 1/8.

The design on the iron is floral with leaves and scrolls through out the design. the center movable pieces is an 8 point star of leaves. This was desplayed hanging on a wall when last owned as there were wires holding all the pieces together.
