Antique Sheffield Plate Wine Chiller / Silver Plated Champagne Bucket / 19th Century Sheffield Champagne Bucket / Silver Plated Wine Chiller

This is for a beautiful rare and collectible Antique Silver Plated Wine Chiller. The Old Sheffield Plated piece works not only for chilling bottles but also a lovely vase for flowers to holding champagne for any special occasion. This has a lovely Neoclassical design and most likely crafted in Europe and would be from the late 1800's. The Champagne Bucket measures: 9 inches tall x 9 inches wide x 7 inches deep with the interior diameter measuring approx 5 inches.

The rim is removable and is attached to the interior liner. The silver plate is in lovely condition on the outside but shows age appropriate wear on the inside as this piece is very old, and esp on the base of the liner shown in the pictures.

There is lots of nice detail in the design from ropes, to an etched floral decor near the rim to raised;9 panels on the body and round handles with rings on the sides. There is an etched decoration on the front of a hand holding a trident with wings and lightening bolts...Assuming to represent Power and perhaps a family crest? The urn is heavy and has a weighted material in the base.

There is a very slight age appropriate eraser sized small dent shown in pictures. This is truly a beautiful piece of history to display and use for many years to come.
