Vintage Borghese Lion Bookends Pair Gilt Plaster Heavy Decorative Lions

This is for a beautiful set of vintage Borghese Lion Bookends featuring majestic reclining lions with an elegant gilt finish. These impressive bookends are crafted from high-quality cast plaster, while the bases appear to be resin with an intentionally distressed finish that beautifully mimics the appearance of age, wear, and natural patina.

Each bookend measures approximately 6.5 inches tall x 7 inches long x 3 inches deep. They are heavily weighted and include attached metal book supports that slide beneath books, making them both highly functional and exceptionally decorative.

The regal lion figures make a dramatic statement whether displayed as bookends on a bookshelf or separated and used as decorative sculptures on a mantel, console table, office desk, or library. Their timeless styling complements Traditional, Hollywood Regency, French Country, and Classical interiors.

Please note there have been repairs to a few corners of the bases. These repairs are difficult to notice unless viewed closely and at certain angles, but they have been fully disclosed and are reflected in the discounted price compared to similar Borghese lion bookends previously offered.

These stately lion bookends are in wonderful vintage condition and are ready to display and enjoy for years to come. They make an impressive addition to any home, office, or collection of decorative architectural accessories.
