This is for a beautiful and highly collectible 4-piece Antique Victorian silver-plated hollowware tea and coffee set by Meriden Britannia Company. Richly decorated with intricate chased floral and foliate designs, this elegant set showcases the exceptional craftsmanship that made Meriden Britannia one of America's premier silverplate manufacturers during the Victorian era.

Finished in a lovely silver plate with a soft ivory-toned patina, each piece is lavishly embellished with raised flowers, scrolling leaves, and ornate details. The graceful flower finials and unusual openwork feet make this pattern especially distinctive and much more elaborate than most Victorian tea services.
Based on research, this set is believed to be Pattern No. 3100, although the individual pieces do not appear to be marked with the pattern number. The generous size of each serving piece further adds to the desirability and impressive presentation of the set.

Founded in 1852 in Meriden, Connecticut, Meriden Britannia Company became one of America's leading manufacturers of fine silver-plated hollowware and flatware. In 1898, the company became part of the International Silver Company. Today, Meriden Britannia pieces are featured in numerous museum collections and remain highly sought after by collectors for their outstanding artistry and historical importance.

The set includes:
Coffee Pot: 12½ inches tall x 10 inches wide x 6 inches deep
Tea Pot: 11 inches tall x 10 inches wide x 6 inches deep
Lidded Sugar Bowl: 9½ inches tall x 5 inches wide x 5 inches deep
Waste Bowl (Slop Bowl): 8 inches tall x 6 inches in diameter

Condition: This is an authentic antique set and displays honest age-appropriate wear. The silver plate shows rubbing on portions of the sides but is not peeling, and the interiors show expected wear from over a century of use. The sugar bowl has a small area of wear on the front. The waste bowl has a replacement finial, and the lid resting on it is likely not original, as waste bowls were not typically made with lids. These condition details have been reflected in the pricing and are shown in the photographs.

Despite these signs of age, this remarkable Victorian tea service displays beautifully and remains a wonderful example of Meriden Britannia's craftsmanship. It would make an outstanding addition to a silver collection, Victorian home, dining room, or display cabinet.
