Antique Silver Plated Tea and Coffee Set / Meriden Britannia #3100 Floral Chased Tea Set / Antique Meriden Britannia Company Silver Tea Set

This is for a 4 piece Antique Victorian Silverplate hollowware tea and coffee set. These are from Meriden Britannia. These lovely intricate and highly decorated pieces have a silver plate - ivory type finish. They are decorated with chased flowers and leaves. The finals have a flower while the feet have intricate open cuts, making these very unusual pieces. This pattern is number 3100 per research, altho items are not marked that I can see. They are larger than normal type serving tea set pieces also leading to the interest of the set.

The Meriden Britannia company was founded in 1852 in Meriden, nnecticut. They sold silver products, hollowware and flatware. In 1898 the company became part of International Silver mpany.

Meriden Britannia Company designs are included in many museums collections as they are such an integral part of USA silver plate history along with the unique designs they produced. Their pieces are highly collectible and hard to find esp in good condition as they can date as far back as 171 years!

**I would say the condition of these antique pieces is good as there is wear on the sides of the silverplate, it is rubbed off but not peeling and the insides show wear. The lid on the one piece is also odd and maybe not original as it is most likely the waste pot it is placed on, which would not normally have a lid.

This set includes:

1 - Coffee Pot measuring: 12.5" x 10" x 6"

1 - Tea Pot measuring: 11" x 10" x 6"

1 - Lidded sugar Bowl measuring: 9.5" x 5" x 5" (small wear on front of the pot)

1 - Waste Pot measuring: 8" x 6" (has a small replaced final)

Majority of my items for sale are pre-loved treasures that were most likely purchased at a local Estate Sale or a local resale shop in Arizona. I may or may not know details but do spend time researching information to provide details the best I can and to pass along fair prices.
