Antique Vanderbilt Sterling Silver Centerpiece / Vanderbilt Sterling Fruit Bowl / Sterling Silver Art Deco Bowl / Antique 1901 Silver Bowl

This is for an Antique large Sterling Silver Centerpiece bowl. The Art Nouveau Styled bowl sits up off the table on a pedestal foot. The silver piece measures: 4.25 inches tall with a 13 inch diameter. This large statement bowl is perefect for anything from fruit, candles or flowers. It has a wonderful art deco styling yet will go with any decor as it has a classic feel also. This has a very small monogram of 1901-B-1926.

The makers marks on the back are a large V with a C and an A inside the V. These are the makers marks of Clarence A. Vanderbilt of New York, New York. He produced items early in the 1900's (dates of production 1891-1935**).

**Clarence A. Vanderbilt was a jeweler / silversmith who started in business on lower Broadway around 1891. He was located at 110 W. 30th from around 1909 to 1913. In 1913 the business moved farther west to 151-155 W. 30th St. with last address know as E. 27th St. (1927-35).

Majority of my items for sale are pre-loved treasures that were most likely purchased at a local Estate Sale or a local resale shop in Arizona. I may or may not know details but do spend time researching information to provide details the best I can and to pass along fair prices.
