This is for a wonderful Large RARE Antique Solid English brass "peacock fan" fireplace screen. This exceptional piece weighs in at 17 lbs! (which is very heavy for this type of fan). The fan is so impressive and in such wonderful condition. All pieces look to be original.

This looks lovely open and yet still very decorative when sitting closed. This amazing antique piece has an ornate unique design and is two sided with a highly decorated Victorian Styling. There is a large raised solid brass motif as the centerpiece on the foot to a shell type styling on the top. It also is adorned with a large very solid Finial / handle on the top for carrying it.

This folding screen can be closed and locked when not in use and or to store with the hooks on the side. The intricate detail of the filigree cut-outs on the screen create an amazing reflection and is very light catching. The details go all the way to the ends of the feathers with the open ended cuts. This fan will work with many decors from Victorian, Hollywood Glam to Traditionally styled homes.

The total height for the fan with the handle is 29 inches tall and the fan when open has a width of 43 inches and the base is 7 inches deep. Please use great care when opening and closing this and don't let the blades just fall out of the sides.

*** The beauty and stately design of this piece can't compare to the mass produced ones that are commonly for sale, the brass is much cheaper on those and also much lighter in weight and not nearly as ornate ***

This one has been meticulously cleaned to bring it back to its original state. It is polished and will gain a patina over time. There are no makers marks. This piece would date from the late 1800's to early 1900's per its styling and quality of the solid brass and way it was made.

This item is sure to please and will be loved for many years to come. It needs a special home to be displayed in.

This is polished and will gain a patina over time.

**All items are vintage and if more then normal age appropriate use / condition issues - then it will shown in the listing / pictures. Please ask questions prior to purchase if there are concerns.

Majority of my items for sale are pre-loved treasures that were most likely purchased at a local Estate Sale or a local resale shop in Arizona. I may or may not know details but do spend time researching information to provide details the best I can and to pass along fair prices.

*I do Not except returns or exchanges unless I erroneously forgot to declare a Major flaw. Remember most items will show wear. Assume items are preloved and or vintage and such can have its own idiosyncrasies due to age alone and normal wear and tear. Remember vintage items have been used and will have small issues like surface scratches and age appropriate wear. I will show any major issues in my pictures as they are part of the description.

*If an item is damaged in shipping you agree to hold onto the item, box and packing materials until the claim is processed and I will need you to take any necessary pictures to file with the carrier.

* I take great care in packaging items correctly and shipping on time.

* I STRONGLY believe in reusing and repurposing of mailing materials, thus your item maybe packed in a previously used box and/or wrapped with previously used materials. Thank you for looking!!
