RARE Chinese Cloisonné Cinnabar Bud Vase Set Peony Cherry Blossom

This is for a rare and beautiful vintage Chinese decorative set consisting of two matching cloisonné and cinnabar bud vases, each with its original wooden display stand, along with a coordinating cloisonné bowl. The combination of brilliant cloisonné enamel and richly carved cinnabar lacquer makes this an exceptional display set for collectors of fine Asian decorative arts.

Each vase measures approximately 8.5 inches tall x 4 inches in diameter, or 10 inches tall when displayed on its original wooden stand. The matching bowl measures approximately 1.75 inches tall x 3.5 inches in diameter and is marked "China" on the underside. The vases are unmarked.

What makes these vases especially unique is the hand-carved cinnabar lacquer decorating both the neck and base of each vase. The intricate floral carving beautifully complements the colorful cloisonné enamel without overwhelming the design, creating an elegant harmony between the two traditional Chinese art forms.

The interiors and bases of the vases feature a stunning cerulean blue enamel, providing a striking contrast to the vivid floral decoration.

Each vase displays two different scenes, allowing them to be turned depending on your preference—one side features lush peony blossoms, while the reverse showcases delicate cherry blossoms.

The matching cloisonné bowl is perfect for holding a tealight candle, jewelry, trinkets, or other small treasures, completing this elegant display.

This set has remained in my family for many years and has been carefully displayed in a curio cabinet. It has been lovingly cared for and remains in wonderful vintage condition.

About Cinnabar: Cinnabar is the name of the brilliant red mineral traditionally used to create the deep scarlet color associated with carved Chinese lacquer. Multiple layers of colored lacquer are built up before being intricately hand carved to create the beautiful floral designs seen on the necks and bases of these vases.
