This is for a beautiful antique Meridian Silver Plate five-arm candelabra dating to the Late Victorian Aesthetic Period, circa late 1800s to early 1900s. This elegant silver-plated centerpiece features graceful twisted arms and a classic design that reflects the refined craftsmanship of the era.
The candelabra measures approximately 12 inches tall, 11 inches wide, and 11 inches deep. It retains all five original removable candle cups, which unscrew for easy cleaning and maintenance.
The underside is hallmarked with the Meridian Silver Plate Company logo depicting a lion holding a large urn within a circle, along with pattern number 3207.
Considering its age, the silver plate remains in very good antique condition with a bright, attractive shine. There is minor wear to the plating on some edges and primarily on three of the removable candle cups where wax was left sitting for an extended period. The wear is most noticeable upon close inspection of the cups and is difficult to see when the candelabra is displayed due to its reflective finish. Please review all photographs as they are part of the description.
This elegant antique candelabra makes a wonderful centerpiece for dining tables, mantels, weddings, holiday décor, or any collection of Victorian silver.

Interesting background information on the makers of these items:

* The Meridian Silver Plate was Organized in 1869 by Charles Casper and others and it was also one of the original companies that later became part of International Silver mpany.

* "Quadruple Plate." This means there are four layers of silver plate on the piece. The term "Triple Plate" is sometimes seen as well. These terms were rarely used after 1900, thus helps in dating these items also.
* Among the top names to look for in collectible antique silver plate from this time period are Meriden B ...mpany, James W. Tufts, Wilcox, Derby, Gorham, and Reed & Barton.
* These companies were very popular from the mid-1800s up until 1898. The silver industry was booming and demand was so highly sought after that most of the companies merged together and formed one large company, International Silver Company.
* After 1898, some Silver plated pieces carry Both names - the original Company's mark and the International Silver name, or just the initials IS. After 1900, most of the former names were no longer used - and items were only marked with International Silver Company name.
