Richard Meier Silverplate Candlesticks, Swid Powell MCM Italy, 1980s

This is for an amazing RARE pair of Post Modern styled Silver Plate Candlesticks by Richard Meier (Designer) for Swid Powell (maker). These were produced in the 1980's and are marked / stamped on the base with the makers name and Made in Italy.

These statement pieces are in wonderful condition while the silverplate polished up beautiful and shows little wear esp for the age of the items.

Designer Richard Meier created many iconic designs for Nan Swid and Addie Powell during the mid 1980s. But this design in unique in that it offers a softer circular stature. The style alone makes these rare as most of his other designs are more along Meier's love of grid designs.

This pair is also some of the larger candle holders he designed while Each of these measures: 12 inches tall x 4 inches wide x 4 inches deep with a candle cup bowl that measures 5 inches in diameter. These are true statement pieces and sure to be enjoyed for years to come!
