Antique English Brass Peacock Fan Fireplace Screen Victorian Nautical Hearth Decor

This is for a wonderful antique English brass peacock fan fireplace screen dating to the late Victorian era, circa the 1880s. Both elegant and functional, this rare decorative hearth accessory is a beautiful example of antique brass craftsmanship and makes a striking display piece whether fully opened or closed.

The screen features intricately pierced brass fan blades that spread open in the classic peacock fan form, creating a stunning visual display. The elaborate filigree cutwork catches and reflects light beautifully, casting intricate shadows and adding warmth and character to any room.

Decorative raised shell motifs adorn both the front and back of the screen, while an ornate finial handle crowns the top, allowing the piece to be easily moved and adding to its refined appearance. The substantial brass construction and heavy base distinguish this older example from many later reproductions, giving it an impressive presence and quality feel.

The fan folds closed for storage and can be secured when not in use.
