Antique Spelter Bust on Alabaster Art Nouveau Victorian Woman in Hat

This is for a wonderful Victorian, Art Nouveau, or Edwardian-era lady bust crafted from spelter and mounted on an alabaster column and base. Rich in old-world charm, this decorative sculpture captures the elegance and fashion of the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

The beautifully detailed figure depicts a fashionable woman wearing an elaborate hat and holding a fan, reflecting the refined style associated with the Victorian and Art Nouveau periods. The bust is mounted upon an alabaster stone column and base, which are bolted together to create an attractive architectural presentation.

While unsigned, the styling is reminiscent of works by sculptors such as Sylvain Kinsburger and other European artists producing decorative bronzed spelter sculptures during the late 1800s and early 1900s.

The sculpture measures approximately 9¼ inches tall, 4.5 inches wide, and 3¼ inches deep. The alabaster base measures approximately 3¼ inches wide by 3¼ inches deep.
This elegant piece displays beautifully on a mantel, vanity, bookshelf, curio cabinet, desk, or among a collection of antique decorative arts. It pairs especially well with Victorian, French, Art Nouveau, and Edwardian décor.

Condition is consistent with age. There is wear to the bronzed patina in areas, revealing traces of the spelter beneath. There may also be small chips to the alabaster base or column. Please review all photographs carefully as they form part of the description. Despite these age-related imperfections, the piece remains a charming and highly decorative antique.
