Antique Lady Spelter Bust on Stone Base Art Nouveau Victorian Sculpture

This is for a charming antique Victorian, Art Nouveau, or Edwardian lady bust crafted from spelter and mounted on a stone column and base. Though small in size, this elegant sculpture beautifully captures the fashion and decorative artistry of the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

The finely detailed bust depicts a fashionable woman wearing an elaborate hat, a popular motif during the Victorian and Art Nouveau eras. The figure is mounted on a stone column and base that are bolted together, creating an attractive architectural presentation.

While unsigned, the styling is reminiscent of works by Sylvain Kinsburger and other European sculptors who produced decorative bronzed spelter figures during the late 1800s and early 1900s.

The sculpture measures approximately 5 inches tall, 2¾ inches wide, and 1¾ inches deep, making it an ideal size for display in a curio cabinet, on a vanity, dresser, mantel, bookshelf, or among a collection of antique decorative objects.

The piece shows age-related wear to the bronzed patina, revealing traces of the spelter beneath in some areas. There may also be small chips to the stone base or column consistent with age and use. Please review all photographs carefully as they form part of the description.

Despite these signs of age, the sculpture remains a lovely decorative example from the period and displays beautifully.
