Antique French Porcelain Portrait Plaque, Gilt Bronze Frame, 19th Century

This very unique small hand painted French Woman's portrait. The painting is on a porcelain disk with hand painted gold trim inserted into a bronze metal frame that is gilded with gold paint also.

The bronze metal frame is old and hand crafted with small pins / nails and a small footed stand. This appears to be from the late 19th Century (Marie Antoinette styled period piece). It does stand but can be a bit due to hand crafting not perfect and shows age appropriate wear.

I am unaware if these were intended to be individual portraits as part of a larger piece of furniture or were crafted as they are. I haven't seen anything like these with such detailed framing.
These measure: 2.5 inches in diameter.
