Antique Judd Brass Expandable Book Rack Race Car Bookends 1920s

This is for a wonderful antique expandable solid brass book rack by the Judd Manufacturing Company of Wallingford, Connecticut, a company founded by Morton Judd in 1830 and renowned for producing high-quality decorative brass objects. This handsome book rack dates to approximately the 1920s and has been polished to restore its beautiful original luster.

The expandable book rack features beautifully cast end panels depicting an early 20th-century race car or roadster with its driver speeding along, making it an outstanding piece for collectors of automobilia, antique brass, or vintage office décor.

The rack is marked with model number 9675 on the inside of both end supports. Its expandable accordion-style design allows it to adjust to accommodate a small collection of books or a much larger library display.

The book rack measures approximately 5 inches tall x 12.5 inches long x 6.5 inches wide when closed and expands to approximately 23 inches wide when fully extended.

Perfect for displaying books on a desk, bookshelf, library, or office, this versatile piece also serves as a beautiful decorative accent. The combination of solid brass construction, detailed race car motif, and adjustable design makes it both functional and highly collectible.
This antique Judd book rack is in wonderful vintage condition, has been polished, and is ready to display and enjoy for years to come.
